About The Client
The Challenge
Right now, health systems and independent physician groups spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and many man-months to calculate their physicians’ compensation. Furthermore, their tools and processes to do so are complex and fraught with errors. The icing on the cake is that, since some incentives are based on physicians’ productivity to some degree, and that incentive is calculated infrequently, often at the end of a fiscal year, if they underperform, they sometimes have to pay back a portion of their previous year’s compensation.
At best, physicians lose trust in the organization writing their paychecks. At worst, these doctors look for work elsewhere.
The cost of recruiting and replacing a doctor in a hospital after they leave? $500k - $1MM.
If these sound like problems you’d like to help solve, read on.
The Solution
Our client is a physician compensation platform company - they automate the calculation of physician compensation, and allow doctors to see how they’re doing continuously throughout the year.
Doctors can adjust their practice based on rapid feedback on their productivity, and finance teams save time and reduce the risks of comp miscalculations while engendering the trust of those providers.
