The Samvera Foundation Community’s values and mission for open data has inspired our involvement since 2016. We are especially active in the development of the Hyku repository solution.
Samvera Support for Your Team
We’ve worked with over 25 institutions to develop or support Samvera and other BlackLight-based repositories, including Yale, UCLA, and the British Library. We’re equipped to fill in the knowledge or resource gaps all teams sometimes experience.
Hyku Solutions & HykuUP
The Hyku solution provides a fully-featured Samvera repository out of the box, and Notch8 has been among those leading the continued development of this software. We offer custom implementations as well as a hosted service, HykuUP.
Flexibility in Repositories
The Samvera stack was conceived as a flexible set of building blocks that could be built into a variety of repository use cases. Consequently, it often requires custom development to meet specific institutional needs. We are here to help.
Active Community Participation
Notch8 is passionate about our community involvement. We stay in tune with community needs by participating in interest groups, hold office hours every week in #hyku (Samvera Slack), contribute to code, and deliver conference talks, like this one that explains the technology to newcomers.
